"I believe that the Heroes program makes a change in each student that is a part of the program, even if that change is small. Sometimes that change can have a big impact on a student’s life. I think the fact that the instructor for the Heroes program has actually gone through things in his life makes it easier for the students to relate and understand the whole picture and purpose of the program. For example some of the lessons were about self-worth and finding the reason that you are who you are, while some were about breaking down your fears and being able to face them so you can get to the bigger things in your life. The Heroes program always provided a safe place for all students to express themselves in the way you couldn’t in a general classroom setting. By focusing on building their strengths helping each student find their true identity."
