peak week 2026
climbing mountains. strengthening mental health
Peak Week is a powerful fundraising and awareness campaign that brings together adventure, community, and mental health advocacy. Over seven days, participants take on the challenge of summiting seven mountains while raising funds to support youth mental health programming across Canada.
Peak Week is about far more than the climb, it’s about creating space for conversation, resilience, and hope.
In 2023, longtime friends and adventurers Robert Lemermeyer and Ryan Armstrong found themselves reflecting after a winter summit in the Rocky Mountains. During the descent, their conversation turned to personal experiences with mental health and addiction and the ways time spent in the mountains had helped them find clarity, resilience, and healing.
That moment sparked an important question:
How could their experience help others facing similar challenges?
Determined to turn that reflection into action, Robert and Ryan connected with Chris Primeau, CEO of Impact Society, to explore how adventure and movement could support youth mental wellness.
From that conversation, Peak Week was born.
Now entering its fourth season, Peak Week has grown into more than an endurance challenge: it has become a movement.
Since its inception, the initiative has raised approximately $100,000 in support of youth mental health programming. In 2026, the team is aiming even higher, with a goal of expanding the campaign’s reach and impact to support more young people than ever before.
Every step, every summit, and every conversation helps move mental health awareness forward.
the challenge
7 summits. 7 days. one purpose.
From August 22–28, 2026, participants will take on seven mountain summits in seven days, an ambitious physical challenge designed to spark conversation about the importance of movement, connection, and mental well-being.
The mountains offer more than breathtaking views: they offer perspective, resilience, and the reminder that every climb is possible when taken one step at a time.
Peak Week is an invitation to be part of something bigger.
Whether you support the campaign by donating, sharing the story, hiking alongside participants, or connecting your network to the cause, your involvement helps bring vital mental health resources to youth across Canada.
Together, we can raise awareness, inspire action, and ensure more young people have access to the life-changing programs delivered by Impact Society.
