History
 In 1994, Jack and Collette Toth founded Impact Society in Calgary, Alberta. Since then, Impact Society has worked with over 50,000 youth to increase their self-esteem through HEROES™ and related programs.
Impact Society is fast becoming Canada’s national centre of excellence for strength-based community development. Impact Society offers the first and only nation-wide experiential-learning program that turns teachers, students, parents, even whole companies and other partners into everyday HEROES™.
Our main program, HEROES™, is made available to youth through schools, community agencies, local police services, and other partnerships.
Impact Society has been awarded the Alberta's Promise Red Wagon for investing in the lives of children. Founder and CEO, Jack Toth, has also been presented with the prestigious Queen's Jubilee Award from Canada's Governor General and was also awarded the Western Legacy Award for Sustained Contribution by the Calgary Stampede in 2007.

We can. We're Impact Society and we offer experiential-learning programs that turn teachers, students, parents, whole companies and our other partners into everyday HEROES.
We help people see what's already inside: skills and abilities and a desire to succeed. We help them find answers and make choices based on inner strengths and new dreams.
We help teachers become HEROES to their students, parents become HEROES to their kids, students become HEROES to themselves, governments become HEROES to their constituents, employees become HEROES to their companies, and companies and other partners become HEROES to their communities.

Outcomes
 Psychologist Dr. Wayne Hammond of Calgary-based Resiliency Initiatives studied students who went through the HEROES™ program. They showed a dramatic improvement in empathy, planning and decision-making, self-esteem, resistance skills, restraint and 26 other characteristics that contribute to greater resilience in youth.
Delivery Options
 Impact Society supports several delivery options to partner with the community to see HEROES™ delivered:
- Volunteers – Traditionally, we have trained and worked with volunteer instructors who have volunteered their time to go into schools and other venues to deliver HEROES in their spare time. Over 300 people have been trained to be volunteer HEROES instructors.
- School Teachers – Over the last few years, more and more school teachers have become interested in becoming HEROES instructors and it is through the HEROES Across Canada partnership that Impact Society plans to train 4500 school teachers in the next five years.
- Organizational Partners – There are many like-minded organizations that have similar community development objectives to Impact Society, in regard to youth. As a result, Impact welcomes the opportunity to develop these collaborative partnerships to see them trained as HEROES Instructors.
- Affiliate Partners – We have recently begun to explore opportunities to work with individuals, groups and other organizations to see them become an approved partner similar to the way a franchise relationship would work.
